Here's a driver's eye view of the course for Cairngorm Soapbox Extreme - positively mouth watering! News about how to enter is expected later this month, so keep an eye on the Cairngorm Soapbox Extreme web site.
Entries are now open for the 2009 Catterline Cartie Challenge. The maximum number of teams has been increased to 30, and 13 teams have taken advantage of the "early bird" entries made available for last years competitors from the start of January, meaning there are just 17 places left! Last year, all the places were filled before the end of February, so make sure you get your entries in soon to avoid disappointment. Entry forms and rules are available from here.

Hot on the heels of the announcement of Cairngorm Soapbox Extreme is the news that another new soapbox race is to be added to the UK calendar, and this one is in Scotland too. "Border Bogie Race" will be held on 23rd May in Denholm in the Scottish Borders. The course is approximately 2/3rds of a mile in length, and is "quite a good gradient ... 30 to 40 mph stuff".
