C12 at Border Bogies
C12 broke the track record and took the silverware at Border Bogies

The second round of the SCA Championship took place in the lovely Borders village of Denholm, near Hawick last weekend. 24 teams - the largest field yet - took part in the senior race at Border Bogies, and the juniors were well represented too.

After last year's race there was speculation as to whether it would be possible to complete the course in under a minute, and this year we didn't have to wait long for the answer. Team Rooket, in the second run of the day, smashed the 60 second barrier by 2 seconds. Their records didn't stand for long, however, and C12 posted a time of 56.45 seconds in their second run - a time which nobody could beat for the rest of the day. But that didn't stop everyone trying! C12, Team Alford, Team Rooket, Centa Bavaria and Pist n Broke all managed sub 60 second runs.

Overall winner, both on aggregate and fastest time, was C12, with Team Rooket, Centa Bavaria, Pist n Broke and Team Alford close behind.

The result puts Centa Bavaria and Pist n Broke both on 11 points in the SCA Championship, with Pist n Broke just in the lead because of their greater number of wins. However, with Centa Bavaria due to miss the next round at Catterline, Pist n Broke will be hoping to open up a lead over Team Rooket and Team Alford before the final round at Cairngorm.

Another great weekend at Border Bogies. Our thanks to the people of Denhom for making us all feel so welcome, to the organisers, helpers, marshalls and first aid team who made everything possible, and a special thanks to the Reivers 4x4 Club for their sterling work looking after the pit area and the return tows. Top work.
